Multilingual Part-of-Speech Tagging with Bidirectional Long Short-Term Memory Models and Auxiliary Loss Multilingual Part-of-Speech Tagging with Bidirectional Long Short-Term Memory Models and Auxiliary Loss
Paper summary Doing POS tagging using a bidirectional LSTM with word- and character-based embeddings. They add an extra component to the loss function – predicting a frequency class for each word, together with their POS tag. Results show that overall performance remains similar, but there’s an improvement in tagging accuracy for low-frequency words. https://i.imgur.com/nwb8dOC.png
